ABOUT:
Magnus Rodwell: A Self-Taught Impressionist Unveiling Urban Stories
Embark on a journey into the artistic world of Magnus Rodwell, a self-taught impressionist who discovered his passion amidst the ebb and flow of life. As circumstances led him down unexpected paths, he found solace in the embrace of his brushes and canvases, transforming Bermondsey into vivid illustrations that encapsulated the spirit of his community.
In the midst of seeking new opportunities after being made redundant, Magnus delved into his craft, translating the labyrinthine streets and hidden corners of Bermondsey into captivating street illustrations. While navigating the labyrinth of job applications, his strokes of creativity painted a unique tapestry of his surroundings.
Prior to his artistic pursuit, Magnus contributed fifteen years to the dynamic world of Stockbrokers, donning diverse roles that ranged from pioneering a Settlement Help Desk to intricate Corporate Actions Analysis. His professional voyage extended to the global realm as he ventured into the realm of international language schools, leaving his mark as an educator and director of studies.
His academic endeavours paved the way for a solid foundation. Graduating from Winchester University, where he earned a Business Administration Degree with Honours. Keeping pace with evolving times, he recently secured a CELTA teaching qualification.
Magnus Rodwell's artistic odyssey blossomed into an array of exhibitions, both in solo splendour and collaborative symphonies with fellow creators. His most recent accolade, bestowed by the Southwark Business Excellence Awards, commended for ‘Cultural Commitment.’
